Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the effects of MI model on the success andmanner of students while teaching the subject of magnet and its characteristics during thescience teaching at the 8th class of primary school.In order to realize this aim, students from 8th classes at Oyaca lköğretim Okulu,Haymana, Ankara, were chosen at random to form the test and control groups. The courseplans which were prepared due to the MI theory were applied to the test group and the plansprepared according to the traditional teaching method were applied to the control group.The datas gained at the end of the study were evaluated by using the SPSS (StatisticalPackage for Social Science) program. During the evaluation of the hypothesis, ANCOVAanalysis, t-test was used while ANOVA analysis was used for the examination of the effect ofsex.At the end of the statistical analysises, it was seen that there are no importantdifference between the points achieved from the Prior Knowledge Test, Success Prior Testand Manner and Perception Test by the students of both groups before the application. On theother hand, after the application, it was realized that, there was a noticable difference in thefavour of the test group, for which the lesson plans prepared due to the MI method wereapplied.
