The effects of designing lesson content according to the constructivits learning theory in primary sth class Turkish Republic Revolution History and Ataturk's political doctrine on academic succes of students

In this study the effect of designing lesson contents according to constructivistlearning theory on students? learning level process is searched. This study whichexperimental design with last test control group method was used in was applied to twostudent groups (experimental and control group) of students who were randomly chosenamong the 8th class students at Adana Sadıka Sabancı Elementary School in 2004-2005education year.To analyze the research data arithmetic mean, standart deviation, independentsample test and pearson correlation coefficient in statistics were used. The lessons weretaught by the researcher in both student groups.In experimental group the content was formed according to the ConstructivistLearning Theory and taught, but in control group the lessons were taught by the way ofusing Traditional Teaching Methods. In Turkish Republic Revaluation History AndAtaturk?s Political Doctrine lesson besides written knowledge in lesson books, materialswhich improve contents such as; memories related to the subject(memories of Ataturk),samples of signed printed notices and congregations, pictures and films were given tothe students in experimental group. Students who had the chance to observe differentpresentations thanks to these given varies materials have become active to develop theirown learning.
