The level of value acquisition which is determind in fifth grade primary school and the evaluation of the problems which are encountered in that process

The human who is mindful and moves with his/her thoughts is directed by the society in it as well as human can direct the society.Being respected and precious individuols are important for Turkish society as much as every society with this idea, the value education that helps personal development of the person in primary school revolving program takes large in 2005. this research is concerned with values (being fair, liability, sensibility to historc heritage) in the program of social in fifth grade primary school. The effect fort he value acquisition of the fifth grade student families?socio-economic level and education level were searched among 20 school of the central districts of Adana.In the research, fifth grade group was applied a survey which contained diffrent stories for each value and moral dilemma forms casting of students? socio-economical level, the level of value acquisition was compared in the survey, the problems in the value acquisition process that the teachers were exposed to questiıons and the methods and techniquies they used were tried to find out. Also nine teachers who joined the survey were interviewed.The data which was carried by qualitative and qualitative data collection techniques was analysed in SPSS 11 statistic program.According to the dilemma forms were applied to students, that was found out the socio-economic level doesn?t create difference for value acquisition student value acquisition sometimes can be different from socio-economical level.According to the finding in the research scope the students? value acquisition level is appropriate to Kohlberg?s moral development theory. On the other hand, in the value acquisition program the children whose parents get low education level.Keywords: value Education, being fair, liability solidarity, sensibility to historic heritage.
