This research was made to determine whether the perception of primary inspectors regarding the teacher behaviours within classroom in the first segment of elementary education change due to education level, seniority, province and gender or not.The population for the study was consisted of 261 primary inspectors serving in the directories of education in provinces (Adıyaman, Batman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kilis, Mardin, Siirt, Şanlıurfa ve Şırnak) in South-east Anatolian Region of Turkey in 2008-2009 academic year. Surveys were applied on 210 inspectors in these cities, but 188 surveys were taken to evaluation. The ratio of sampling to the total target population was 72,03 %.During data collection a questionnaire of 27 items with the title ?Scale of Teacher Behaviours Within Classroom? developed by Büyüköztürk, Kılıç, Karadeniz and Karataş (2004) is used. The analysis of data collected after investigation is done with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences package programme. For analysis and interpreting the datum T-test, Scheffe test and variance of analysis (one-way) are used. Meaningfulness level is taken as 0,05.Those results are received after the analysis of datum:?Depending on their education level, seniority and province variables a significant difference was determined among the views of primary inspectors regarding the teacher behaviours within classroom in the first segment of elementary education. Depending on their education level, a remarkable difference was determined between the views of inspectors who had undergraduate education with inspectors who had postgraduate education. A significant difference was determined between the views of inspectors serving 1-5 years with 16 years and up serving inspectors according to the seniority variable; and between inspectors serving in Adıyaman with Siirt and Diyarbakır according to province variable. Depending on their genders, no significant difference was found among the views of inspectors.?The general average point of the perception of primary inspectors regarding the teacher behaviours within classroom in the first segment of elementary education is in ?sometimes? level. The inspectors attended ?They guide their students to see their own mistakes about subjects they misunderstood? the most,?They permit students to determine learning methods by themselves? the least.Keywords: Inspection, primary inspector, teacher behaviours within classroom.
