Abstract (EN)
Values education is a lifelong education rather than a school and curriculum. When we look at the aims of the education system, it is seen that the aim is to raise individuals who embrace basic values as well as academic success. For this reason, values education is not included in a separate program, subject or unit in the curriculum. Since values education is abstract in nature, the primary school age is a critical threshold for the adoption of values and requires a concrete expression, it becomes important how this education will be given. It will be beneficial to use many approaches together in acquiring values. In this sense, while giving values education, it is important to touch upon the folkloric elements of the environment in which the child lives, so that the values transferred come to life in his mind and make sense of his experiences. Folkloric elements that will be interspersed between the lectures will both enrich the narrative and make the lesson less abstract. Thus, many values that are about to be forgotten will be transferred to new generations and the adoption of these values will become easier. Making explanations based on folk songs, idioms, proverbs, traditions, customs and beliefs, which are folkloric elements in the transmission of values education, will undoubtedly contribute to the students' memory of the relevant values more easily. For this reason, in our study, we tried to reveal how the values in the folkloric elements of Diyarbakır province can be taught in the Primary School Religious Culture and Ethics Course, in which unit and subject, by associating them with the course. Key Words: Folklore, Value, Values Education, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge
