In primary school education 2?? degree students? religious culture and moral knowledge level in relation to moral development

School has a great influence on child?s moral development in primary school education period. This study intends to analize in primary school education 2?? degree students? Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge level in relation to moral development.The participants of the study, 460 student attended in primary school education in İzmir?s Konak and Karabağlar districts, in 5 different primary school education during the 2009-2010 Academic year in 2?? period in March and April months.In 1?? Part of the study, "Personal Information Form? was used in order to define participant characteristics including sex, age, grades, works of their parents, interest of their parents, educational level of their parents and income of their parents; in 2?? Part of the study, questions related to ?Moral? learn plain, was educated in Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge lessons the grades 6? ? , 7?? and 8? ? was used in order to measure the level of moral knowledge; ?Defining Issues Test-DIT? was also used in order to measure the level of moral judgement, which is the dependent variable of this study. The results have been analysed by SPSS 15.0 packet program. The hypotheses have been checked by the analize of variance.As a result of the study, in primary school education 2?? degree students? to be moral in traditional level; there was not found any correlation between level of moral knowledge, sex, educational level and works of their parents and level of moral judgement. In additon, there was not found any correlation between level of moral judgement, student?s age and grades, interest and income of their parents.In brief, it has been concluded that the subjects of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge merely haven?t effect students? moral development; also psychological and sociological many factors have effects on students? moral development.Key Words: Moral Development, Kohlberg?s Moral Development Theory, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Lesson, Moral Training, Moral Teaching.
