Determining effectiveness of new science and technology syllabus which is usede in secend part of primary schools by eveluating from the point of teachers and students

In this thesis study we try to explain the thoughts of Science and technology teachers and second grade students about new science and technology syllabus at primary schools in Istanbul Province Bahçelievler district. The sample of this study is constituted in 2008-2009 education term by 35 teachers working for 25 public schools and 414 students at 4 public schools in Bahçelievler district. The study consists of four sections. At first section the term of Science and Technology is defined and it?s importance is mentioned. At second section the term and phases of syllabus development is explained. At third section a brief information is given about the outcomes of innovations brought new science and technology syllabus. At the last section of study there are reviews and information belongs to syllabus evaluation survey applied to students.
