The evaluation of the teaching program of primary school mathematics lesson based on teachers' views

The general purpose of the research is to determine views of class teachersabout the practice of 2004 Primary Education (1st.-5th. Classes) MathematicsTeaching Program and to evaluate the program related to the views determined. So,research has been made at secondary schools in the city centers of Çanakkale,Edirne ve Eskişehir.Research is in descriptive property and data related with the research havebeen collected by scanning. Therefore data collection implement has been improvedconcerning acquirement, content, teaching-learning process and evaluationcomponents of program. Measure has been prepared for the purpose of collectingdata which are essential from class teachers for the evaluation of Primary EducationMathematics Teaching Program at research.Prepared measure has been sent to instructors who study in educationprogram field based at different universities and has been rearranged towardssuggestions. Coefficient reliability has been calculated with the answers given byapplying to the groups excluded in research sampling for determining the structurevalidity of measure. After taking the expert view, measure has been ready toapplication with reduction of items seen necessary. Prepared measure has beenapplied to 459 class teachers who serve at the city centers of Çanakkale, Edirne andEskişehir.Data collected by measure have been analyzed with frequency and percentcalculation. It has been examined with statistical tests whether there is a significantdistinction according to variables of which city they served, educational level,master program, service year in profession, educated class level, and the situation ofin service training intended to new program among the teachers? view. Evidenceobtained has been interpreted by presenting as charts.Related to the evidence reached, while no difference has been foundaccording to variables of professional experience, educational level, province atwhich is served and master program among views of class teachers related toacquirement and content components of 2004 Primary Education (1st.-5th. Classes)Mathematics Teaching Program, it has been found significant difference accordingto the variables of educated class level and in service training. It has been reached toconclusions that views of class teachers differentiated related to evaluationcomponent of program in point of variables in service training and province servicedand that no difference was found according to the variables of situation ofprofessional experience, educational level, province at which is served, class level,in service training and master program among the teachers? view related to learning-teaching process of the program.
