Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine relations between occupational attitude, perception and despair levels of Dokuz Eylül University, Education Faculty, Primary Education Mathematics Teaching Department, fourth grade students in respect to teaching occupation as well as the factors related to those assessment. Research was implemented on 178 fourth grade students of Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Education Faculty, Primary Education Mathematics Teaching Department formal and secondary education. ?Beck Hopelessness Scale?, ?Scale for Attitude Towards Teaching Occupation Scale? and ?Scale for Perception of Teaching Occupation? shall be used in this study, and the research method is descriptive research. Data to be collected by collecting tools for use in the research are subjected to descriptive and relative statistical process based on research objectives. Data obtained from the research are analyzed using SPSS 15.0 pack program. T-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Cronbach Alpha Coefficient, Pearson Correlation Coefficient,Sperman CorrelationCoefficient,Man-Whitney U Test , Kruskal Wallis Test, frequencyand medium data are used in order to analyze research findings. According to research results, it is found out that there is a positive, meaningful relation between attitude and perception of Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Education faculty, Primary Education Mathematics Teaching Department fourth grade students towards teaching occupation, a negative, meaningful relation between attitude and hopelessness towards teaching occupation, and a negative, meaningful relation between perception and hopelessness towards teaching occupation. Attitude, perception and hopelessness levels towards teaching occupation does not indicate any difference in terms of income level, district of residence, parent educationlevels variants; whereas there is a meaningful relation between attitude, perception and hopelessness levels towards teaching occupation and choice of occupation and there is a meaningful relation between only hoplessnes levels towards sex.
