Özet (EN)

This research aims at determining the perceptions and expectations of primary education supervisors according to the process of their selection and training.Created by the researcher, ?the perceptions and expectations scale of primary education supervisors according to the process of their selection and training? was used for collecting data. The scale is five degree likert type. In the academic year 2008-2009, the scale has been applied to 141 primary education supervisors who work for the Izmir Provincial Directorate of National Education. Among all the questionnairies which were handed in at the end of the research, 105 fully-answered questionnaires were used in the process of the research.Below is the summary of the results:1.The perceptions and expectations of primary education supervisors according to the process of their selection and training is in the degree of ?partial agreement?.2.There is not a significant difference between the perceptions and expectations about the selection of primary education supervisors.3.The expectations towards the training of primary education supervisors are higher than their perceptions.4.There is not a significant difference between the perceptions and expectations about the selection and training of primary education supervisors according to their supervisorship priority, educational level, department and the number of classes and symposiums they had attended.5.It is significant to focus more on Law, Public Management, Educational Sciences and Supervision lessons during the In-Service-Training sessions.
