Abstract (EN)

In the present study, I have examined levels of perceiving family environments in 6 th grade students and their learned helplessness behaviours based on given variables. The samples for this study consists of 300 normal students. Their perception of family environment has been measured by Family Environment Questionaire (FEQ) and their Learned Helplessness Behaviours by, Children Attributional Style Questionaire (CASQ). Personel information Questionaire (PIQ) has been used in order to establish their personel and family characteristics, in the analyses (F), t-test and chi-square (x2) has been employed. The most important, finding of the study is that we have establish a statistically significant correlation between perception of family environment and helplessness behaviours in them. Based on such data, figures of their perceptions of family environment increase while those of learned helplessness behaviours decrease. Variables found significantly correlated with perception of family environment and with learned helplessness are thosesuch as socio economic status, succes level, parent's education whether they are employed or not, and their response to unacceptable children behaviours. Sex difference has been found to have a less influence on their perception of family environment and learned helplessness behaviors. Key Word's; Family Environment Questionare, Attiributional Style, Learned Helplessness Behaviours rx
