The relationship between the leadership styles of primary school administrators perceived by teachers and organizational synergy

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between the primary school teachers' perceptions of school administrators' leadership styles and organizational synergy. The research adopts the relational scanning model, and relatedly, the research universe consists of teachers working in government schools (primary and secondary schools) in Rize province in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data collection was carried out via simple random sampling method and a survey is conducted with 326 teachers. In the formulation of the questionnaire the following models are employed: the 'Leadership Style Scale of School Administrators' of Kılıç and Yılmaz (2018), and the 'Organizational Synergy Scale for Teachers' and the 'Personal and Professional Information Form' of Akpolat and Levent (2018). Research results show that there are significant relationships between leadership styles and organizational synergy. Regression analysis showed that leadership styles were a significant predictor of organizational synergy, explaining 56% of the variance of organizational synergy.
