Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted in order to find out the relationship between the organizational climate and the job satisfaction of the primary school teachers in 2006-2007 academic year. The population of the study included 750 teachers working in 37 primary schools in Şahinbey, Şehitkamil and Oğuzeli provinces. A questionnaire consisting of 3 sections was developed. These sections were (1) demographic characteristics, (2) items related to the factors affecting organizational climate, (3) items related to the factors affecting job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using mean, standart deviation, t-test, one ?way anova, LSD multiple comparison test and pearson moment correlation coefficient techniques. As a result of the statistical analysis, statistically significant (positive and linear) relationship was found between the factors affecting organizational climate and those affecting job satisfaction of the teachers. No statistically significant relationships were found between organizational climate and gender, marital status, university teachers graduated from, duration in school and duty. Statistically significant difference was found in terms of occupational standing and age. No statistically significant difference was found between leadership style and age. In addition, no statistically significant differences were found between factors affecting job satisfaction and gender, marital status and duty. Statistically significant differences were found between factors affecting job satisfaction and age, duration in school, occupational standing and the university teachers graduated from. No statistically significant difference were found between ?organizational climate, working conditions and being social? and duration in school.Key words: Organizational Climate, Job Satisfaction, Teachers? perception.
