The importance of external communication and school administration tasks for socializing primary schools

This work has been done to determine the importance of external communication in official primary schools within th borders of İstanbul, Çekmeköy and school administration tasks.Research working group is consist of the random parents of the students who are learning in the primary schools in Çekmeköy which is located in the town of Anatolian shore of İstanbul. This survey includes 350 parents who have students in 10 elementary schools located in İstanbul, in Çekmeköy District through 2011-2012 academic year.Collecting research data, a draft questionnaire has been formed by making literature review for primarily domestic and foreign publications, after acquiring expert opinions in the subject field developed ?the survey that aims to determine the importance of external communication and school administration tasks for socializing primary schools? has been applied the participants who are created as sample survey, the data obtained from the surveys has been transferred to computer. As the statistical analysis of data that obtained from the survey developed through the research has been done with the package programme called SPSS for Windows ? statistics 15.In the analysis of data; first of all the arguments for, frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation values were produced. The T Test and the implementation of one-way analysis of variance has been applied whether if there is a meaningful difference between the parents? opinions regarding questions ?the survey that aims to determine the importance of external communication and school administration tasks for socializing primary schools?, then one of the complementary analysis as ?Scheffe Test? was used to determine the source of the resulting variety.It has been tested whether if the results, obtained by using the scales, differ from depending on participatig parents? in the research, sex, age, marital status, degree of relationship as parents, the frequency of going to school and educational statues. While significiant difference (p<.05) has been determined as statistically between the subgroups related to some demographic variables as a result of the difference tests, in any case for some of the demographic variables significiant difference has not been determined as statistically.When the research findings are examined; the importance of external communication cannot be ignored, is so important, in school administrators tasks for socializing the schools, and for that always it is required to consider the activities which develops the relationships with the environment. Finally, presented findings has been discussed and forward proposals has been brought in the context of the findings.Key Words: External Communication, Socialization, School Administrator, Parents
