The perception and expectation about communication and motivation ability ofprimary school teachers, headmasters

With this research,determining skills of communication and motivation of the headmasters who are on duty at primary educating,comparing these skills with the expects of teachers,is purposed. In the first part of the research consisting of five parts,communication concept,components,effective communication and communication handicaps take place. In the second part,considering the reality that schools,as components where communication is effectively seen,are associations,the association concept and theories about it have been given place.In the third part,motivation and guidance concepts and theories about these concepts have been discussed. In the part of finds and comments,?Measure of Skills of Communication and Motivation? which consists of sixty-two entries,is carried out.This application has been realized on two hundred twenty teachers who are on duty in Istanbul,at European side,in Eminönü,Fatih and Bağcılar squares.While determining the samples,the method of exemplifying as masses has been utilized.The acquired data have been analyzed using the package programme SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences).Appropriate to the problems and the problem sentence of the research,statistical methods like arithmetic mean,standard deflection test,one-way variance analyzing have been utilized. The research results prove that the headmasters who are on duty at primary shools,do not use their communicational and motivational skills adequately,however it is determined that the expects of the teachers who are on duty at these shools,from the headmasters both on communicational and on motivational skills,are rather high.In addition to that,at the research results,about communicational and motivational skills of the headmasters,it has been fixed that the perception and the expects of the teachers do no differ much according to gender,occupational seniority,education level,age and education field. Considering these results,in the conclusion part of the research,several suggestions are made.According to this context,it is emphasized that it would be beneficial for the headmasters to attend the process of communication and motivation.It is indicated that it would be effective to develop communication with school boards that teachers perceiving the present human source structure,expecting things according to that,as well.Otherwise,It has been discussed that many conflicts that we see in daily life are able to be seen at the administering-being administered process at schools.
