Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to specify the views of the school inspectors, teachers,and students concerning the proficiency level in classroom management of theprimary school teachers in the city center Antakya, Hatay.In order to reach the results, the population is selected from the city Hatay,including 21 school inspectors, 400 students, 28 administrators, and 126 teachers byapplying a survey. The proficiency level of the teachers has been defined asfrequency and percentage distribution for their views in the study. Also, a t-Test andone-way variance analysis (ANOVA) have been applied to find out if there is asignificance pertaining to demographic features of the views of the inspectors,administrators, teachers, and students.In line with the findings, the views of the supervisors related to the level ofthe proficiency for the classroom management are found to be distinct from those ofthe administrators, teachers and students. The views found in the study have nodifference in terms of gender, age or educational background. But, the grade at whichthey attend is the factor showing significant difference. According to the finding, it isobserved that the students? views about the proficiency of the teachers in classroommanagement are different from those of the Grade 5 students.It is expected that the findings in the study will contribute to enhance thelevel of proficiency of the primary school teachers, involving dimensions which areeffective in teaching-learning process and classroom management.KEYWORDS: Classroom Management, Proficiency.
