Abstract (EN)

In this research conducted with the aim of determining to the sources of organizationalpower which public and private primary schools managers use, according to teachers, 384 teachers employed in the public primary education schools and 356 teachers in the private primary education schools in the Europe part of Istanbul were asked to express their opinions on sources of organisational power. Data of research have been gathered through the use of schale ?Private Primary Schools Managers? Sources Of Organizational Power?.At the end of the research, it has been concluded that the performances of private primary education schools have been better than those of public primary education schools from the aspect of Organisational Power evaluated in the dimensions of legitimate power, coercive power, reward power, referent power, expert power on the basis of managers? sources of organizational power differences between the opinions of public primary education schools and private primary education according to the mean points of dimensions.It has been conducted that variable of sex has no effect on workers perceptions of organizational power. It has been conducted that there isn?t any significant difference between legitimate power referent power and expert power after all there isn?t any significant difference between coercive power, reward power according to the variable of education state. It has been found out that comparing with the other workers; teachers with 21 year and more experience of teaching have expressed more positive opinion in all dimensions of organizational power. It has been conducted that the workers thinking that their school?s management style is democratic has more positive opinion of organizational power in all dimensions in comparison with the ones with view their school?s management style is autocratic.
