Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the management problems faced by primary school administrators in N'Djamena, the capital of the Republic of Chad. The research was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 7 primary school principals working in N'Djamena, Republic of Chad. The study deals especially with the problems related to material, physical, teaching methods and human resources in school management. Considering the limited number of studies on the education system in Chad, this research fills an important gap in the field of educational administration and aims to contribute to policy development processes for the education system in Chad. A qualitative method was used in the study and a phenomenological approach was adopted. In this context, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven primary school principals. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. The findings revealed that the most common problems faced by principals were inadequate teacher salaries, physical deficiencies in school buildings, teacher absenteeism, and late delivery of textbooks to schools. As a result, it was suggested that in order to solve these problems, school principals should be provided with adequate budgets and teacher supervision and professional development processes should be improvedç This study aims to contribute to the development of the education system in Chad and to provide concrete recommendations to solve the main problems encountered in school management.
