Sex factor in conduct of managerial functions of the primary educational schools principals(The city of Sakarya model)

Difference in sex related behaviour and attitudes is of social and cultural. The attitudes of women and men may change due to change of social values. The roles given to women and men inherently as well as by the family and the society affect the administrative characteristic, too. The leadership roles of men are developed by their families and society as from their early ages. Studies of women in education are conducted under certain titles. Among them are the status of educated women in leadership, participation in labor and efforts to reveal the gender-based discrimination in edutional institutions and processes, on the other hand, studies are made on the rate women are promoted to top post in the public and on demands that might be developed in this respect. One of today?s facts is the number of working women increasing in folds. However, number o women holding top level administrative post is not big. When the worldwide situation is viewed, we see the same fact all over the world. In view of administrative differences is conduct of women and men administrators in education, gender-related factors based on difference of being man and woman appear as observed in the studies made. The purpose of this study is to reveal whether or not there are effects and differences resulted from the sex(gender) factor in conduct of administrative affairs by the elementary school principals. The reliability test and reliability coefficient of the inquiry developed to be used in thestudy is estimated as a-0.9392. Theinquiry used in the research as measurement tool was applied to the teachers in primary schools in Sakarya and the SPSS 12 program was used to analyze the findings obtained. The frequency and percantage analysis were mad efor analysis of firstsubproblem while the t-test was applied for analysis of the second, therd and fourth subproblem. Such analyses are shown in detail in the frequency and t-test tables. According to the data obtained in the research, it is observed that that there are differences between the women and men administratiors as to the effect and differences of sex factor in conduct of administrative duties of primary schools principals and on the basis of gender of the participant teacheres.
