Abstract (EN)

Time which is considered as one of the elements of production in 2000s and time management which can be defined as using it effectively and productively are the concepts that have drawn attention. For this reason, to determine the opinions of primary school administrators about time management is considered important.This research has been done in order to determine the opinions of primary school administrators about time management. This study also aims at investigating the relationship between the variables of gender, marital status, educational state, subject, professional experience, place of school, number of students in school, reading publication on time management and the opinions about time management.The sample of this study is 200 primary school administrators who work as a principal, head vice principal and vice principal in 126 state primary schools in Çanakkale and its towns and villages except Bozcaada and Gökçeada that have only 3 primary schools. In the research, ?Time Management Questionnaire? that has been improved from the questionnaires were used in Gözel?s Research (2009) named as ?The Opinions of Primary School Teachers about Time Management? and Silahtaroğlu?s Research (2004) named as ?Time Management on Academicians? has been used. Statistical analysis of collected data from the questionnaire applied has been done via SPSS (Statistical Package For The Social Sciences). The evaluation of data has been done by way of Descriptive Statististics, Independent Sample T-test and One Way Anova Methods.In the result of the study, the opinions of primary school administrators about time management have been attained and these findings have been discussed. It has found that there have been some significant differences between primary school administrators? opinions in the part of time planning according to subject and reading publication on time management variables and also in the part of using time effectively according to professional experience and place of school variables.Key words: Time, Time Management, Primary School Administrators.
