The aim of this research is to evaluate the level of burnout level of the primary and secondary school managers according to the emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment distances and total burnout. And to put down the difference according to the burnout levels of personal and professinal factors.All the primary and secondary school managers in the town of Bahçelievler and Üsküdar of İstanbul in 2008-2009 Educational years are within the scope of the population of this research.The inquiries were sent to all these managers of these towns and 253 inquries that turned back formed the sample of the research .The managers, 51 woman and 202 man, all of which are from A type institution,work in primary school(129) and in secondary school(124). An also, 79 of them are the managers and 174 of them are assistants of the managers. In this research, it is studied by scanning model. Datas are collected by the mediator of the inquiry which existed from 2 parts.?Personal information form? and the second part is ?Maslach Burnout Inventory?. The datas according to the research are analyzed by SPSS for Windows 13.0 statistics programme. The unilateral varyans analysis and frequency(f), percent %, arithmetich avarage(x), standard refractive(ss) and (t)test are used for the variable factors of the gender, civil status, type of school, type of manager.The Scheffe test is applied if the differency is found meaningful.In this research, it has been studied that if the burn out level of administrators who have worked in primary and secondary schools differ or not according to variables of age, gender, marital status, the number of children they have, graduation, school type, professional seniority, seniority in the administration, the number of teachers and the students in the schools and and socio-economic environment.When the gender, marital status, school type and the number of teachers and students were examined one by one according to the feeling of burn out, there were no significant differences found at the total scores and the total sub-scores of burn out scale.When the age, the number of children they have, graduation programme, type of manager, Professional seniority, seniority in the administration and the socio-economic-environment were examined, there were significant differences found.These are the following results that were found according to the previous results: When the age group increases, burn out level decreases.Administrators who have no children feel more burn out.Administrators who have bachelor?s degree feel more burn out than those who have graduated from other degrees.The manager assistants feel more burn out than the managers.When the professional seniority and the seniority in administration increase, their feeling of burn out decreases.When the socio-economic environment improves, the feeling of burn out decreases.It is mentioned that probable explanations of the results and the researches that will be worthwhile of studying on this subject in the future under the title of Discussion and Comment.Keys Word: School Managers, Occupational Burnout
