The soft sciences course of 4th and 5th grades in primary school

The issues experienced in the Soft Sciences course of 4th and 5th grades in primary school have been examined with this study.The universe and sampling of this study include 4th and 5th grade students of primary school located in İzmir / Torbalı.The survey form called ?İlköğretim 4. ve 5. sınıflar Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretiminde Karşılaşılan Sorunlar Anket Formu ? of Tahiroğlu (2006) has been used to gather the data required for the study. Personal information section has been added to the survey to collect the demographic information of the teachers.In order to analyze the gathered data ; T test , variance analysis , frequences and correlation analysis for matched groups have been used.The issues experienced in the 4th and 5th grade of Soft Sciences have beed detected. These issues has been examined in five groups which are related with school, teacher, student, technics and utilization of tools.Issues related with obtaining the tools , difficulties with the school, teacher oriented issues, issues related with technics have been investigated by the analysis in terms of the gender of teacher, location of appointment, education level, courses taken, appointment period, graduation school but a meaningful difference could not be found.The other sub set which is student oriented issues have been investigated by the analysis in terms of the gender of teacher, location of appointment, education level, courses taken, appointment period, graduation school and a meaningful difference has been found. According to the T test results the teachers who are graduated from education faculty have declared positive feedbacks compared the the graduates of the other faculties.
