Abstract (EN)

The main objective of this research is to determine primary eighth grade students? perception of classroom atmosphere. For this purpose, the degree of students? perception of classroom atmosphere and whether there are meaningful differences between students? perception degrees or not were searched.In this study, the resources and factual data of the issues were examined carefully.Research working groupa is composed by eight classes students who have received training in primary schools in the central district of Kırklareli province in the 2008-2009 academic year.Screening method was used in the study. Scale developed by the researcher was used in collecting data and internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha coefficients) were calculated by SPSS program in the statistical analysis made for the reliability of the data obtained from the survey.Frequency and percentage calculations were made in data analysis of personal characteristics of the groups surveyed. With the purpose of determining the perception of the classroom atmosphere, independent T Test and one-way ANOVA and Scheffe Post Hoc Test as a complementary technique were applied in 25 expressions to test differences in the perception of the group and the results were evaluated.As results of analysis;1- According to variables such as gender, class size, student achievement status, educational and socio-economic level of family, course evaluated by students and gender of teacher, meaningful differences have emerged in the level of response to statements contained in the survey.2- The sum of the arithmetic average of the students? answers to measure perceptions of classroom atmosphere was obtained as X=3,35 at the level of ?Sometimes?.Key Words: Classroom, Classroom Environment, Class Atmosphere
