Teacher and student opinions regarding the situation the realization of learning outcomes that primary school 4th grade music class curriculum

The aim of this research is to determine the opinions of teachers and students about the existing situation by determining the realization levels of the learning area acquisitions of "musical perception and knowledge" in the primary school 4th grade Music Curriculum. The study group of the research consists of 698 students studying at the 4th grade level in official primary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa in the 2021-2022 academic year and 50 classroom teachers working in these institutions. In order to determine the level of achievements, an achievement test was developed and applied to the students. In order to determine the opinions of the teachers and students about the learning field achievements of "musical perception and information", it is carried out by creating an interview form for the teachers and by creating a questionnaire form for the students. The research sets an example of mixed method in which qualitative and quantitative research methods are used together. The obtained quantitative data were analyzed in the jMetrik program. Qualitative data were interpreted by using descriptive analysis technique. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient was used to determine the reliability and internal consistency of the achievement test. In the analysis made in the jMetrik program, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient was found to be 0.79. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the level of success in the test applied to the students was low and the achievements could not reach the target. Most of the teachers stated that they had difficulties in the music lesson. They emphasized that they had difficulties due to lack of material, negative conditions of the learning environment, classroom management, lack of class hours and lack of equipment in the field of music. According to the results obtained, suggestions were made to make the music lesson more efficient.
