The investigation of the effect of darts sports' practice on the 4th grade primary school students' ability of the four operation

given by darts sports application to the students who continue to primary school 4th grade has an effect on the development of four operation problem building and solving skills. In the context of this purpose, two groups which consist of fifteen students were identified. An achievement test that measures four operation skills was applied to the first group, which is the experimental group, and for the second group, which is the control group in the first stage. After the pre-treatment, darts sport practice was applied for a total of 40 minutes per week for 12 weeks in the experimental group and the students in the control group continued their normal education. At the end of four weeks, the students who participated in both groups were applied the achievement test second time. Experimental pattern model with pre-test and post-test control group was used as the model of the research. As a result of the research, it was found that the experimental group who was applied darts sports improved their ability to developing and solving four operation problems more than the control group. In the light of these findings, proposals such as dissemination of sportive practices like darts sport in primary schools and comparative investigation of the effects of individual sports on development and solving of four operation problem were given.
