The aim of this study is to determine the punctuation and spelling mistakes of the 4th grade students in the book Turkish Lesson Workbook-1 in primary schools in Erzincan. Case studies, one of the qualitativere search designs, form the pattern of the research. The study group of this study consists of 58 students studying in 7 primary schools in Erzincan city center in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the study group, convenience sampling, one of the qualitative sampling methods, wasselected. The data of the study were collected based on the Personal Information Form and Punctuation Marks and Spelling Forms Checklist. SPSS and Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet were used to analyze the data. The data were classified according to the determined headings and the data were subjected to descriptive analysis. According to the results of this study, we can express the following: It has been observed that students who work in the book with punctuation marks such as dot, comma, semicolon, three-point, question mark, long line, slash, quotation marks, the sign of the bow, spring bracket and cutting mark failed to gain enough skills. However, in the workbooks, it was determined that the students who use the punctuation marks such as two points, exclamation point and the short line gained enough skills about these punctuation marks. It was seen that students who use the skills in the workbooks related to the questions attachments such as (mi, mı, mu and mü), the writing of the numbers, the writing of the abbreviations and the writing of the capital letters have not been able to gain enough skills about these forms of writing. It is determined that the students who use conjunctions such as (-ki, -da and –de) gained enough skills about these forms of writing. Inaddition, it was determined that the Turkish Course Study Book-1 and the Turkish Course Curriculum prepared in 2015 did not match exactly. Key Words: Turkish Lesson Workbook-1, Punctuation, Writing Forms, Primary School.
