Abstract (EN)
The objective of this research is to determine psychometric features of item types included in end of unit evaluation questions of course books studied in primary schools of the Ministry of National Education. The research has been continued on work team. The work team is comprised of 42 books in total among Turkish, life sciences, mathematics, social studies and natural and applied sciences course books used in the schools belong to the Ministry of National Education. Data collection tool is made up of the evaluation questions at the end of the units in the course books studied in 2016-2017 years at the primary schools belong to the Ministry of National Education. These questions were examined with document analysis. It was seen that there are some types of questions written proper and improper to the standards of literature in writing open - ended, gap -filling, multiple choice, true-false, matching and short-answer question types In the analysis of end of unit evaluation questions of course books depending on the findings of the research. In consequence of chi square analysis there is not seen any harmony of questions take place in the course books to the determined criteria.As a result, it can be suggested that question writers shall write the end of unit questions prepared with the purpose of assessment and evaluation in accordance with psychometry and the questions shall be evaluated by experts in a sensitive way before books encounter with the students.
