Abstract (EN)

In today's societies, there is a need for individuals who research, question and have scientific thinking competencies. Today's measurement and evaluation studies are prepared based on these skills. The skills that are aimed to be acquired by students within the framework of the 2023 Education Vision are skills such as logical reasoning, interpretation and critical thinking. Nowadays, skill-based questions, referred to as "New Generation Questions", began to be mentioned in our education system with the introduction of the 2018 High School Transition System (LGS) exam. Skill based questions; They can be defined as questions that allow students to establish relationships with real life and develop higher-order thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of classroom teachers about skill-based questions and what kind of studies they do regarding these questions in mathematics lessons. The research was designed as a case study. The participant group of the research consists of 15 classroom teachers working in primary schools in Gaziantep city center in the 2022-2023 academic year. In line with the purpose of the research, an interview form and observation form were created by the researcher. The data obtained from the research were examined and interpreted with content analysis. As a result of the research, classroom teachers generally answer skill-based questions; He defines it as questions that are associated with daily life, contain multiple outcomes, and develop high-level skills. Classroom teachers use skill-based questions in mathematics classes to prepare students for central exams. The content of the textbooks distributed by the Ministry of Education does not comply with skill-based questions.
