Primary school managers' organizational justice levels and teachers' job satisfaction levels

Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to determine whether the level of organizational justice of primary school principals and job satisfaction levels of teachers and whether there is a significant relationship between these two variables. The sample of the research is composed of 630 teachers who worked in the official primary schools affiliated to İzmir National Education Directorate in the academic year of 2017-2018. In the collection of data, "Organizational Justice Scale", "Job Satisfaction Scale", "Personal Information Form" including the demographical characteristics of managers and teachers were used. Data were obtained by performing arithmetic mean, frequency, t-test, ANOVA test, LSD significance test, Pearson Moment Correlation Coefficient and Regression Analysis. The results of the research can be summarized as follows: Participants report opinions on the level of "I participate" in the dimensions and organizational justice. It has been determined that the participant views towards the items in the job satisfaction scale correspond to the intervals of "I do not agree", "I am undecided", "I agree" and "I absolutely agree". According to teacher perceptions, The level of organizational justice of school principals does not make a significant difference according to their gender and whether they received education management education or not. The level of organizational justice of school principals shows a significant difference according to their age, occupational seniority, level of education and socio-economic environment in which the school is located. According to teacher perceptions, there was no significant difference between teachers' job satisfaction levels in terms of gender, age, and socio-economic level of the school where the school was located. It has been found that there is a significant difference between teachers' job satisfaction levels in terms of the school principals' professional seniority, their level of education, and whether they receive education management education.. A research result has emerged that teachers 'job satisfaction and school principals' organizational justice are highly correlated at the general level and in terms of fair distribution, fair treatment and interactional justice. The level of organizational justice of school principals is a predictor of job satisfaction in the positive direction. It is seen that the fact that the school principals are fair on the scale and on the basis of the subscales has a significant effect on teachers' job satisfaction.
