Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to examine the current situation of health education-related achievements in all course teaching programs for primary school 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades published by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) Board of Education and Discipline in 2018. In this context, 171 health-related achievements were identified. Additionally, outcomes in health education programs in Australia, Canada (Ontario), and the United States (Wyoming) were also examined. In line with the examined outcomes, 13 categories were created. The achievements related to health education in the MEB Primary School Curriculum are classified according to these categories. In the research, relevant curriculums were analyzed in detail using the document review method, and the obtained data were evaluated using the content analysis method. Analysis results revealed that the most gains were concentrated in the safety and physical training categories. On the other hand, no gains were observed in categories such as dental health, violence prevention, extracurricular activities and development. While there were no health-related gains in mathematics, Turkish, visual arts and foreign language courses, the least health-related gains were found in music classes and the most in physical education and game classes.
