Problems regarding foreign students in primary schools

The aim of this study is to present the problems and solutions to the problems of fo- reign students attending in Konyaaltı primary schools in the direction of the opinions of the teachers and administrators. The data in this study, which is a qualitative research, was obtained from semi-structured interviews with twenty-four classroom teachers and seven administrators in five primary schools in Konyaaltı district of Antal- ya province. The data of the research were analyzed using content analysis technique. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained in the study, the problems fa- ced by teachers and administrators related to foreign students were grouped under five sub-themes as language problem, cultural problem, interest problem, behavior problems and equivalence problem. In the study, the effects of foreign students on the process of the course were grouped under three sub-themes as distraction, loss of time and communication problems. Under the heading of the solutions of the faced problems related to the research, parents cooperation, social activities and language courses are presented under three sub-themes. In other themes, the solutions that te- achers and administrators have found for the problems mentioned above and the pro- posed solutions for the problems are discussed.
