Abstract (EN)

Although 'Ilmihal` (İslamic catechisms), that consists of words `ilim`(wisdom) and `hal` (state) has been used as from early periods, later included compositions written in the field of Canon Law that describes spiritual information which individuals should posses in their state, moment and time. İslamic catechisms (ilmihal), which undertake the task of accessing religious information and facilitating the solution of problems encountered in daily life, have an important place among the works written in the field of fiqh as they reflect the religious understanding of the period in which they were written. Therefore, in this study, the content and methods of the catechisms which were written in different periods and which had an effect on the religious life of the people were compared and the change in the catechism tradition was tried to be revealed. In this study, there is a change in the content and method of the catechism, the catechism writers determine the catechism issues by considering the needs of their own period and catechism in accordance with the level of understanding of the audience, so it is determined that there is a dynamic structure in the catechism tradition.
