Birgivî Mehmed Efendi (929/1523- 981/1573) is one of the Ottoman scholars who lived in XVIth century. This study gives information about Imam Birgivi?s Avâmil and Izhâru?l-Esrâr. This research consists four parts.The first part is introduction part. It aims the subject of this study, the purpose and expression of the method.In the second part, it gives information about Birgivi Mehmed Efendi?s life, teachers, pupils, science of personality and presentation of his works.In the third part, it gives information about ?Avâmil?, its specialities and the works that was made about it.In the fourth part, it, too, gives information about ?İzhâru?l-Esrâr?, its specialities and the works that was made about it.In the end of the study, it was made the assesment of ?Avâmil? and ?İzhâru?l-Esrâr? briefly.
