The critical edition and analysis of İmam Birgivi's work named Risâle Fî Beyâni Rusûmi'l-Mesâhifi'l-Osmâniyyeti's-Sitte

Our thesis, which is on the subject of Imam Birgivi's Risâle fî Beyâni Rusûmi'l-Mesâhifi'l-Osmâniyyeti's-Sitte on rasm al-mushaf, consists of three main chapters except introduction and criticized text. In the introduction, information is given about the purpose of the thesis, content, literature review, method and sources. In the first chapter, the period of Imam Birgivî, his life, his scientific personality and his works are mentioned. In the second chapter, the knowledge of rasm al-mushaf, the process of canonization of the Qur'an, the relationship of mushaf-qira'at and the issue of seven letters (al-ahruf as-sab'a) are explained. In the third chapter, topics such as the name of the work and attribute to the writer have been mentioned within the scope of the treatise and about the contents of the work and the existing copies of the work are informed. Finally, the method applied in the inquired text is pointed out. In the last chapter, the text is edited according to the inquired rules.
