Abstract (EN)

According to 8th grade students' perceptions studying Imam Hatip Secondary schools and other secondary schools, the case study pattern of qualitative research method is used in this research, which aims to compare some values in terms of learning and internalization at the cognitive level. Students were interviewed by using a focus group interview technique. In this context, four groups (eight students from the schools) were determined, one teacher was selected from each school, and interview results were compared. According to the results of the research; As regards the concept of values education, it was determined that IHO students regard values education in religious education because of the mission of the school they study and its emphasis on religious education. On the other hand, DDO students, even it is not exactly disconnected, seem to be independent of the religious context. In terms of values education activities, in both types of schools IHO and DDO were found to have similar applications. However, it is also seen that IHO students feel more responsible in the context of value education because of the mission represented by the school. It was found that the value of education is negatively affected by test anxiety. Positive contribution of reading activities to value education was identified. In general, IHO students utilization more religious discourse and mystical concepts, while DDO students utilization more real and secular language in their explanation are the most fundamental difference.
