Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the photocatalytic behaviors of imazamox, which has been listed as one of persistent organic pollutant, were carried out in S doped and undoped nano-TiO2 suspensions under UV and visible illumination in solar box. Catalyzers synthesized using the reflux method and crystallite size and surface morphology were characterized by XRD, SEM, BET and particle size distribution. The photocatalytic efficiency has been investigated for under the controlled processes parameters including; amount of doping S (1-30%), dosages of catalyzers ((%0.05-1.0), irradation time (60-600 min), initial imazamox (5-30 ppm), pH (2-10) and organic-inorganic matrice effects. Maximum degradation rate of imazamox under the optimum conditions were higher 95% either with UV or visible illumination. Efficiency of photocatlaytic degradation was monitored UV-Vis spectrophotometric and TOC measurements. Based on the intermediate products identified by HPLC and LC-MS in the study, possible mechanisms for the degradation in water also proposed in the present study.
