The immunological relationship between vitamin D3, immunoglobulin E, and interleukin-8 levels in allergic rhinitis patients

Abstract (EN)

Allergic rhinitis is among the essential prevalent autoimmune disorders that affects the nasal mucosa in humans. It is characterized by a combination of symptoms that affects primarily the nasal mucosa. The most common symptoms of allergic rhinitis are stuffy nose, sneezig, stuffyor runny nose, itching around the nose, redness and frequent tears from the eyes. Most of these symptoms occur this result of an increase in inflammatory causes such as Histamine and Leukotriene. The aim of our study was to study the immunological association amid allergic rhinitis and changes in globulin B levels with changes in vitamin D and interleukin-8. The study it was divided into two groups, the first group (60) representing patients suffering from allergic rhinitis, and the second group (60) representing a healthy control group who had no history of allergic rhinitis. Our study showed the role that vitamin D plays in allergic rhinitis, as a decrease in its levels indicates a decrease in IgG B. It also found that the decrease in it indicates the effect of globulin B in the immune system, and thus the increase in the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. There was also a strong association between IgB with vitamin D and interleukin-8 (r= 0.719** at P < 0.001, r= 0.724** at P < 0.000, respectively). D lack is significantly related with symptoms of severe allergic rhinitis and an interleukin-8 measurement.
