Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the corrosion resistance of Ti-6Al-4V alloys exposed to different temperature and solution environments was investigated. The experiments were carried out on three different technologically treated Ti-6Al-4V discs. These were listed as the unannealed control sample, the annealed (TiO2) sample and the sample covered with silver-containing metal organic frameworks (MOF+Ag) after annealing. Ag containing MOF was coated on the implant, using the properties of metal-organic frameworks (MOF) such as porous structure and being stored with different metals. Characteristic analysis such as XRD, SEM, EDS, BET of the prepared samples were made. Ivium brand CompactStat h10800 model Potentiostat/galvanostat device and Tafel extrapolation method were used for corrosion measurements. In these measurements, the polarization resistance, corrosion current and corrosion rate values of the samples were determined. Before the corrosion measurements, the samples were kept at different temperature values (25 ℃ and 37 ℃) and in different solution environments (NaCl and PBS) for 24 hours. The results obtained showed that the highest corrosion prevention performance was determined in the TiO2 layer formed sample kept in NaCl solution for 24 hours at 25 ℃ and 37℃ temperature. However, it was seen that the MOF+Ag/TiO2/Ti-6Al-4V sample had better corrosion prevention performance from the experimental results obtained from three different samples kept for 24 hours in PBS (phosphate buffered saline) solution at 37℃ temperature. When the experimental studies were examined, it was seen that the use of MOF+Ag/TiO2/Ti-6Al-4V alloy is more appropriate in the implantology sector.
