Abstract (EN)

Lean production system is a production system that aims to increase quality and efficiency, maximize customer satisfaction, and minimize costs by eliminating waste in the product and service creation process. Within the scope of this study, in an enterprise that produces aluminum conductors; It is aimed to adapt the lean production system in order to reduce costs, increase quality, reduce waste, and make a simpler and more efficient production. In the study, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) technique, which is one of the lean manufacturing techniques, was used primarily in order to analyze the current situation. In the VSM technique, the production flow is composed of material and information flow. Value stream mapping of the selected product group was performed with the current state map. The improvement projects that emerged after the VSM technique was applied on the product group we determined were determined in order of priority by using Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. Solution suggestions are presented to the problems by using lean manufacturing techniques such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Continuous Improvement (KAIZEN), JIDOKA. This study will make an important contribution to the literature in terms of the application of lean manufacturing techniques in the aluminum conductor sector that has continuous production. Keywords: lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, multi-criteria decision making
