The story of Inanna and Dumuzi

The Sumer society that arose 5,000 years ago in a region where human civilization went forward, Mesopotomia, oppressed local societies, possibly referred to as Obeyd in literature, and mixed with them. There is no clear information yet as to whether the Sumers inherited the cultural heritage or copied the cultural heritage of an other society like the Akads. However, their accepted writing system, literary and all other forms of cultural accumulation are worth noticing with their impact on religious beliefs and traditions of many close and far societies.Sumer intellectuals, who have developed ideas on the creation of the universe and humanity without being against philosophical basics and limits, debated the nature of the universe, its roots and functioning. The cosmology and belief system they have created have influenced other societies in the near east later. The place and importance of Shephard God Dumuzi and God of Love and Fertility Inanna is great in the belief system of the Sumers when one looks at the Sumer poems. The two characters that are heroes of the tradition of holy marriage in the culture of fertility symbolize the renewal, fertility and abundance of a term after a year of separation, getting dried and entrance into ?chaos?. Inanna, which was referred to under different names and titles in future societies, comes forward with traits relating to women; having received the arts of civilization and holy laws with assertiveness and courage from the God Enki, it is an important part of written and spoken expression with the head role in going underground as part of marriage and holy marriage.
