Abstract (EN)
Developments in today's technology; High mechanical features has led to the development of high temperature abrasion and corrosion resistant superalloys to obtain economically viable, technically feasible special materials. Superalloys are preferred much more than all other metallurgical materials putting into high temperature practices. For this reason, the compatibility of these alloys withdifferent welding methods has become a research topic. In this study, Inconel 718 alloy was combined with PTA welding method from nickel-based superalloys which are intensely used in aviation industry. The PTA welding method has been widely used in the space industry, aviation and nuclear industries as a source of production. Especially in terms of stitch quality, reliability and economy it is an accepted method. During the study, the welding speed was kept constant, in different welding current and geseous flow rate and the welding operation was carried out. The metallographic and mechanical features of the welded connections were evaluated. At the end of thestudy, the Inconel 718 superalloy was combined with the PTA welding method, it was concluded that the welding method is suitable for this material but some precautions must be taken while selecting the welding parameters.
