ABSTRACT Master Thesis DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF INDUCTION FURNACE Ömer ÇELİK Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Electric Education 2005, Page : 55 To melt metals and alloys different methods have been used. Induction melting process is one of them. In this work a transformer base induction furnace device is designed and produced to investigate of different types of materials. On the primer of transformer 220 V, 50 Hz alternating current was applied. The furnace and its components are placed on secondary port of the transformer. So that the material placed in the cup can be melted by means of induction effect. Key words : Induction, Induction furnace, Melting, Metal melting IX
