Özet (EN)

This study was carried out on a study group of 120 individuals consisting of 60 control and 60 infertile women. The participants were between the ages of 25-45 years and were selected from the outpatient clinic of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Ibn-i Sina Infertility Center in Iraq. Our study aimed to reveal potential differences in various health indicators between control and infertile women groups. The results showed a highly statistically significant difference in age distribution between the control and infertile women groups (P=0.002). In particular, a highly significant increase (P≤0.01) in FSH, E2, TSH, PROL and AMH hormone levels was observed among infertile women. In contrast, a significant decrease was observed in LH, FT4 and progesterone hormone levels. A significant change was detected in FT3 hormone levels compared to the control group. In addition, the study findings revealed a significant increase in urea levels in infertile women compared to the control group (P=0.0024), while creatinine levels did not change significantly. There was a significant difference in HDL levels and atherogenic index between control and infertile women, while cholesterol, triglyceride, VLDL and LDL levels did not change significantly. The relationships between all parameters included in this study were evaluated by Pearson correlation analysis and a significant positive correlation was found between HDL levels and urea. Our study shed light on the different health markers between infertile women and control subjects in the specified age range. These findings contribute to our understanding of the potential factors underlying female infertility and emphasize the importance of further research in this area. The observed hormonal imbalances, altered lipid profiles and changes in renal function confirm the need for additional research to better understand the complexity of female infertility.
