Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a meaningful relationship between the opinions of teachers working at the high schools in the central district of Bolu about informal relations and knowledge management. 891 teachers working in the central district of Bolu in 2018-2019 academic year make up the target population of this research which was carried out with the relational screening model. 412 teachers participated in the study voluntarily. Personal information form, Information Management Scale and Informal Relations Scale were used as data collection tools in the research. The variables of seniority in the school and the number of teachers in the school made meaningful difference in all scales and sub-dimensions. According to the seniority variable in the school, views of teachers working at the school for 11-15 years and according to the variable of the number of teachers in the school, views of teachers in the schools where 51-75 teachers work, were found to be higher about informal relationship and knowledge management. Positive and meaningful relationship was found in all scales and sub-dimensions when the informal relationship scale ; knowledge management scale and the sub dimensions are examined. The mentioned relationships are high between the informal relationship scale and the knowledge management scale, and medium between the sub-dimensions. While the highest relationship is at the in-house sub-dimension of the information management scale and the informal relationship scale, the lowest relationship is between the external and usage sub-dimensions. As a result, it can be thought that providing an environment and time to increase the level of informal relationships of teachers within the institution and getting support from various activities. When it comes to success, in order to benefit from all the elements involved in the process of knowledge management at a high level, it should be grounded in schools, this process should be used more consciously by each individual or institution interacting with educational institutions and it should be ensured that they have sufficient equipment about the process.
