Turkey according to the records of the House of Commons (1918-1922)

After Ottoman Empire was collapsed, there were large territories to be shared. Her territories would be shared among Turks, Ottoman subjects, neighboring states and the Great Powers. This job would be performed by the Great Powers. They decided how to scatter Ottoman territories. But there was an injustice. Because Armenians were planned to give as large territories as Turks who founded and governed Ottoman Empire for many centuries. Also the Greek would take some part in the Western Anatolia. This division was unacceptable for Turks. So they gathered around Mustapha Kemal Pasha and started to fight against all the enemies who surrounded almost everywhere. In the end, they got their independence after a two-year long bloody war.Although sharing plans of Ottoman territories were decided formally by the Great Powers, in reality they were forced by the Great Britain.Making decisions about the share, revolt of Anatolian movement and long lasting independence struggle were followed by the House of Commons. In this study, it was tried to examine how the House of Commons followed this process.The thesis is aimed to discover the influence of House of Commons on English Foreign Policy and results of this influence during Turkish War of Independence.
