Özet (EN)

Today EPS, XPS that are among the preferred materials for thermal insulation and raw materials used in the production of polymeric materials to a large extent (70%) are foreign-dependent. EPS, XPS and polymeric materials do not have fire safety requirements due to their petroleum-based structure. In the light of this information to eliminate the negatives it is necessary to produce mineral based, natural, artificial structured fibers and boron minerals reinforced, non inflammable insulation material which can be produced by using entirely domestic raw materials (such as limestone and silica sand) as an alternative instead of imported and expensive insulation materials. In this study the prescriptions obtained by the addition of borosilicate glass fibers into a mixture prepared with lime- and quartz-riched materials, cement, calcium sulfate, aluminum metal powders are undergone the manufacturing process. It is aimed to produce an insulation plate that is capable of high thermal insulation, reinforced with fibers (composite), non-inflammable (mineral-based), low-density.
