Abstract (EN)
The construction industry in our country as well as all over the world; is one of the sectors with the highest rates of occupational accidents and becoming disabled, injured and death due to occupational accidents. In this sector, the majority of occupational accidents are the result of fall from height. In this study, a survey has been prepared on occupational accidents due to falls from a height which the construction sector is active in Adana, Hatay and Osmaniye provinces. In our survey study; has been reached the specified target audience both face to face and internet with the help of Adana Branch Chamber of Civil Engineers, Adana Branch Chamber of Architects, Adana Building Contractors Association and Adana Contractors Association. It is determined within the scope of the survey results; what level of compliance to the measures taken against occupational accidents due to falls from height and deficiencies in this regard the causes of their occurrence in our region. In conclusion reached according to these data, the proposals have been developed in the direction of increasing awareness of the sector workers and the employers about occupational accidents due to falls from height.
