Abstract (EN)

Construction Contracts Standard, which is the 11th standart of Turkey Accounting Standards, is a guide to when revenue and costs of business enterprises which are within the scope of activities over years of construction contracts will be passed on to the financial statements. This thesis is designed to give a clear understanding of how to implement these standards.At this purpose, The International Accounting Standards and Accounting and Financial Reporting Standards in Turkey are described in the first chapter of three-part study,In the second chapter, after giving a detailed concept of construction, Construction Contracts and their types, parties, components, legal nature and provisions of issues are processed then classifing, merging, costs, revenues and deserved rights of Construction Agreements are examined in details.Finally, in the third and last chapter, after mentioning about accounting of construction contracts and their situations in the tax legislation over the years, all of the accounting process related on the Construction Contracts has been trying to consolidate by giving a sample application within the scope of TMS 11 Standard and solution have been produced for possible problems.
