In Hittite art, many different art forms had been recovered such as work in ivory, metal works, stone carvings depending on architectiture, rock monuments, steles, vases with relief that were subjected under human and animal figures. Hittite artists reflected celebrated holidays, religious ceremonies, days considered as holy and rituals into their arts rather than their daily life. Therefore presence of ceremonial clothing, uniform shoes, stable portrait and general stance are visible on their arts .In both human and animal figures , It is seen that the artists had been made works close to natural by very well observations about their environment.Human figures in Hittite art have been appeared under works gained functionality such as amulets, votive figurines, votive nail structure, ivory figurines and under many different types such as acrobats, musicians, priests, nuns, gods, goddesses, gift bearer, worshiping, worshiped, hunter. Animal figures have taken place in the art of depicting the Hittite by both being assistant item near human figures and creating depict subject.As in İnandıktepe, Büyük Hüseyindede and Bitik , located between the Old Hittite Era embossed vases, human and animal figures created within celebrating holy days composition, had taken place in stone sculptures depending architecture in Age of Empires Alaca Höyük. Overall postures of the figures vary according to what they do. In profile, head and feet of the front or the front body are depicted in profile. The clothes worn by the figures vary in parallel with situation where and the work they perform in all art works.In the scope of this study, location of the human and animal figures under Hitite arts depicting works, their functions and their represented differences are examined.Keywords: Hittite, Hittite Art, Human and Animal Figures.
