Bibliometric analysis of publications in the field of human resources

This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of articles published in the field of "Human Resources" in the four journals with the highest citation scores indexed in the Web of Science database. The research universe consists of 3,844 articles from these journals. The data obtained through bibliometric analysis provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the global development and dynamic structure of the HRM literature. Using bibliometric methods such as performance analysis and co-word analysis, prominent themes in the HRM literature—such as digital transformation, hybrid work, artificial intelligence, and sustainability—were identified, along with the most influential authors, journals, and countries. Keyword density and thematic maps were generated using scientific mapping techniques. The findings of the study identify current trends and gaps in the Human Resources Management (HRM) literature, offering valuable guidance for future research. The results also reveal that academic contributions to the HRM field have increased internationally, and collaborations are becoming more evenly distributed over time.
